Why does the DEA and AMA allow tobacco companies to continue to put nicotine in cigarettes?

nicotine
It’s obvious and has been for years that the most lethally addicting substance available is cigarettes. But tobacco doesn’t have any addicting ingredients, cigarette companies ADD nicotine to get consumers addicted. Why in the world is there a “war on drugs” when the most heinous drug is allowed everywhere?

Because the government can profit from tobacco sales, and people want to smoke regardless of the health effects. The war on some drugs is just a repeat of prohibition. It’s never going to succeed.
