What would happen if someone who doesn’t smoke started to chew nicotine gum?

I got a sample in the mail of a 20 pack of free nicotine gum, and I don’t smoke. I am not going to eat it but am curious what would happen if i did?

    It would upset your stomach and then you would become addicted to the nicotine in it.
