I am needing to take a nicotine saliva test for my company and need to know how long it will take to get rid of it…
Also could I use mouthwash to rinse my mouth before the test to get rid of the nicotine?

Do they really test for nicotine for some jobs? That seems unfair and discriminatory. What is it about a smoker that makes them undesirable as a prospective employee? I’m assuming this is in America as I doubt you could get away with doing this in Australia.

I am having gastric bypass surgery 9/11 but have a nicotine test coming up 8/29 and I have started smoking again and I have a friend that is willing to let me use her urine. Do you think it will be possible to do?
thank-you for answering my question. I am a 54-year old woman that has battled weight for 33 years. The only reason I started smoking again was I recently lost my Mom to pancreatic cancer after a year long battle. I had quit for 8 months and after I buried her I started again. Yes I can follow the guidelines for the surgery . I have been through all of the testing and nutritional classes and am ready to proceed except for the nicotine problem. I had been scheduled late last year and when Mom got her death sentence I was afraid to go ahead not knowing when I would be needed to help with her last days. I may sound weak but just so everyone knows I’m not. Thank-you once again

My life insurance company wants to do a blood test for, among other things, nicotine. I quit nearly five months ago, will it still show up? I’d like to be considered a non-smoker, and I have no intention of starting again.

I have to take a saliva nicotine test, and I really need to know how long it will take to get nicotine completely out of my saliva.. Is there something I could cheat the test with? Not counting detox products, just with at-home ingridients? Please help!

Spouse is having an insurance physical today. They take a blood sample and one of the tests is to see if you smoke. Three days ago, while with some friends they convinved him to smoke 1/2 of a cigar. How long will the nicotine be traceable in his blood?
