I smoke–illegally–and need to quit. Can you buy nicotine gum without being 18? Or is there somewhere I can get a perscription without my parents finding out?

What are some of the side effects and are they worth it? Taking a pill scares me, but I really want to quit. Any other ideas, nicotine replacement (gum, patches?) do they work?

My uncle has stopped smoking and he’s been chewing nicotine gum off and on again for a couple of years and what not. He heard that you can get throat cancer from chewing nicotine gum and he wants to know how long a person should chew nicotine gum for..
Thanks

I quit smoking years ago by using nicotine chewing gum. Unfortunately, I got addicted to the gum instead. I chewed the gum for years. Three weeks ago, I went cold turkey and stopped using the gum. It wasn’t as hard as I thought. After a couple of days, I was fine. Until yesterday.
Suddenly, I am having terrible nicotine fits, three weeks after having last ingested nicotine. Is it all psychological, or could the nicotine have lingered in my body this long?

I’m trying to help my boyfriend quit smoking and the Nicotine gum is so expensive, because the generic brand (i.e. CVS, Walgreens) is a little cheaper is it still as effective?!

It’s made to help people quit smoking, but what if you don’t smoke, and start using it for the hell of it? Is it possible?

I’ve had like 6 pieces since I woke up this morning, around 7 hours ago. Am I still well out of danger? I imagine I’ll need at least another 6 to get thru to the end of the day.

I know that you cannot smoke before and after since it effects the growth of the bone, but I have been chewing nicotine gum. I’m planning on being off the gum for 3 weeks before surgery. I hope there is someone who can give me some information.
