Well It starting to get to the point where I need 2 or 3 cigarettes to get the effect one had on me. And Yes I know it means im addicted and all that fun crap. But is there some secret to it? I take heavy hits, but my buddy tells me taking smaller hits will increase the amount of nicotine your body gets. Is that true? I thought it didn’t matter..
Thanks

I know that nicotine is the addicting substance in tobacco. I smoke cigars occasionally but I have never smoked a cigarette. I have researched about cigars and I know that one cigar can have as much nicotine as a full pack of cigarettes. I want to know why this is considered a bad thing.
For the record, I know cigars are not a safe alternative to cigarettes. Please DO NOT simply quote a bunch of information from an anti-smoking website.

I know it can vary as the size of the cigarette can change by the user rolling the cigarette, but does anyone have any information as to maybe how much in a gram or ounce of Bugler rolling tobbacco?

Just curious as to how they measure the level of nicotine in cigarettes and how is it added?
what other “additives” are in cigarettes and how is this all composed to make a “cigarette” .
Anyone know??
Thanks for your answers!

I’ve read that our body metabolizes nicotine into cotinine but have yet to find a place that says exactly how much nicotine it takes to produce X amount of cotinine. Thanks.

I’m specifically interested in info on something like Nicotrol inhalers. I haven’t had a cigarette since using them, but now I’m afraid of getting addicted to these. Thx in advance.

If Malboro Light has .6 mgs of nicotine, how much of that would the average smoker inhale? The cigarette isn’t constantly being inhaled.
Does changing to a lower nicotine brand, such as one with .1 mgs of nicotine help to ween a person off nicotine?

I need a list of the brands of cigarettes and how much nicotine is present per cigarette.
I know that cigarettes have different levels of nicotine. They come in levels of 1, 2, 3 & 4. I would like to have a list of the brands & their nicotine value so that I can gradually drop down to lower levels and eventually quit. Does anyone know where I can get such a list?
