Me and my husband both want to quit smoking. We don’t have alot of money so patches and stuff won’t work for us. Should we try to quit cold turkey or reduce daily?

I haven’t smoked for about 3 weeks but before that I smoked three of four cigarettes a week.
If I was to have one cigorette now would the nicotine still be in my blood in five days?

It concerns me that smoking in public places is being banned throughout the UK (and I believe in parts of the USA) but the government is considering constructing nuclear power plants which has to cause more harm!! So, my question is: What is the effect of nicotine smoke on the enviroment?
Serious answers only without bias towards or against smokers.

It’s made to help people quit smoking, but what if you don’t smoke, and start using it for the hell of it? Is it possible?

My whole family smokes and i have been around second hand smoke like my whole life. I am now in college and for the first few weeks i had bad headaches and i was real jittery. When i go home i feel fine and relaxed but when i come back to college i the headaches and the jittery feelings come back for a few days. Am i addicted to nicotine from second hand smoke or is it just all in my head for some reason. If you have sites to back up your answers that would be great. And if you have any advice on what i should do, please share! Thanks

Last year I tried and cancelled CigArrest and not without a lot of phone calls and hassles. Today I noticed a charge from Living Essentials, a company I never heard of until I started researching and found complaints from other CigArrest customers that their accounts were also debited frauduently by this company. I have 3 different phone numbers for this/these companies and all I get is a recorded message stating that they are closed. I spent the morning filing out complaints with the BBB, FTC, CA & FL Attorney General’s Offices and last but not least my bank. And now I have to take time out of work to fill out paperwork with my bank.
Does anyone know what else can be done to stop this company from these illegal and fraudulent practices? I always believed that when you cancel an account from one company, that an affiliated company does not have the right to charge you for goods/services you never requested. I read that over 600 complaints have been made with the CA BBB. Help.

I want to quit smoking for my New Year’s resolution. I was wondering what worked the best for those of you that used to smoke. Anything that you would recommend that I do to keep myself from thinking about smoking? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I quit smoking yesterday, I smoked a half a pack a day. I was just wondering how long it will take to get out my system. also, will I still have withdrawls after the nicotine is out my system?

I sort of unconsciously picked up smoking during a stressful point in my life, and I realize now that it’s stupid and I’ve gotten rid of my cigarettes and I’m starting tomorrow to quit. During this past month I’ve smoked somewhere between 5 and 7 cigarettes a day. I have never felt addicted, necessarily, but I know I could be once I stop. I’m just wondering how hard it’s going to be, and how long the crappy feelings are going to last. Basically, I need some motivation and reassurance.
